‘Playmaking maestro’ pursued by INEOS will be ‘allowed to leave’ in ‘next weeks’, his agents have spoken with PL clubs

Following a scintillating Euro 2024 campaign that culminated with him being crowned a European champion, Dani Olmo has become the talk of the transfer window for another year.

Numerous times the prolific frontman has found himself linked with a move to Manchester United, although the club have yet to ever formally accelerate their interest by sending a bid RB Leipzig’s way.

Now that INEOS are in the driving seat, United may look to finally materialise their admiration for Olmo, whom the official Bundesliga site has deemed a ‘playmaking maestro’.

Olmo available for transfer this summer if Leipzig’s demands are met

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed this morning that despite the forward’s £52 million release clause expiring on July 20, Leipzig are open to sanctioning his exit if a proposal in the region of £50m arrives ‘in the next weeks’.

He is ‘allowed to leave’ if the club’s demands are met, and Olmo’s agents have already been active on the market trying to gauge his potential suitors by holding talks with Premier League clubs, excluding Manchester City, as well as Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

It remains to be seen if United are among the English sides to have started early negotiations. Reports have strongly suggested that INEOS chiefs are keen on adding another proven goalscorer to their ranks to work in harmony with both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.
