Everton continue to stand in Jarrad Branthwaite way of Manchester United transfer

Having been dealt the disappointing blow that the Friedkin Group (TFG) bid to take over the club has collapsed, Everton are keeping the same stance on Jarrad Branthwaite and have no intention of lowering their valuation for the highly-rated defender.

Everton have informed United that they will not consider a transfer for the centre-back unless their valuation is met.

United have had two bids rejected by Everton for Branthwaite this summer. It remains to be seen if a third offer will be made in the coming weeks.

According to The Athletic, Everton’s stance on the 22-year-old has not changed even though they will be looking to make extra funds to avoid more financial uncertainty, after having points deducted in the Premier League last season.

Everton are trying to pull the wool over United’s eyes – like Leicester City did in 2018 when they made a ridiculous amount of money on Harry Maguire. We’ve moved on from then it seems.

The Toffees are on the verge of losing Amadou Onana to Aston Villa, which will inject some much-needed funding in Merseyside.

It all boils down to Everton pricing Branthwaite out of a move if you ask me because United have shown their cards on two occasions now.

  1. Or united stand in the way by not offering enough. He’s better off going to a top club like real or city anyway .
