Manchester United star sends message to Mason Greenwood after Marseille transfer

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho appears to have wished Mason Greenwood well on his move to Marseille.

The pair were both considered outcasts at United before Greenwood’s exit was confirmed on Thursday. Sancho is also back amongst the training group after being frozen out of the first-team last year.

Greenwood has signed a contract until 2029 with Marseille.

The completion of the deal saw Greenwood receive acknowledgement from some former teammates. The 22-year-old took to the social media network after putting pen to paper at Marseille, with a post captioned: “Really excited for this new chapter. Allex l’OM!”

In response, Sancho, who has returned to United after showdown talks with Erik ten Hag, shared a raising hands emoji.

Anthony Elanga and Shola Shoretire were among those to show support for Greenwood following his summer move. Others include Angel Gomes and Di’Shon Bernard.

Greenwood had not played for United since 2022.
