Blow for INEOS as trusted journo dismisses claims that United are in ‘advanced talks’ regarding £90k-a-week star

Having welcomed Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro to the club within the space of a week, Manchester United are expected to turn their attention to outgoings in order to sanction any additional signings.

Just two hours after the club formally announced Yoro’s arrival last night, Fabrizio Romano revealed that United had agreed personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain ace Manuel Ugarte.

However, they’re likely to struggle in getting a deal over the line until further players are sold – Alvaro Fernandez, Donny van de Beek, Willy Kambwala, and Mason Greenwood have all completed moves away from Old Trafford since the window opened.

One Red who’s been continually linked with a permanent transfer is Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The right-back, who earns a reported £90,000 per week, has fallen in the pecking order due to Diogo Dalot’s resurgent form. He has just one year remaining on his contract, so now poses the best opportunity to recuperate as a high a fee as possible from his exit.

Wan-Bissaka’s potential suitors

It’s thought that Galatasaray are keen admirers of the 26-year-old, although they would struggle to meet United’s financial demands, while reports have also claimed that West Ham have entered ‘advanced talks’ with United over a potential deal.

Florian Plettenberg has since spoken out to dismiss such claims, though, and has instead stated that Wan-Bissaka is ‘not a hot topic’ for the Irons, who are navigating their first window under David Moyes’ successor, Julen Lopetegui.
