‘Agreed personal terms’: Romano drops United bombshell straight after Yoro announcement that star is ‘keen on’ move

INEOS are showing no signs of slowing down in sanctioning the arrivals of their top targets this summer.

Joshua Zirkzee became Manchester United’s first signing of the summer – and the INEOS era – when he officially joined from Bologna last Sunday on a five-year deal.

Today, the Reds completed their acquisition of sought-after French starlet Leny Yoro, who has been heavily targeted by Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool in recent weeks. Despite all reports suggesting he had his heart set on a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, he’s put pen to paper on a contract until 2029 with the 20-time English champions.

Almost two hours on from United’s formal announcement of Yoro’s move, Fabrizio Romano has dropped a late transfer bombshell tonight that the club have ‘agreed personal terms’ with midfield target Manuel Ugarte of PSG.

Ugarte gives green light to Old Trafford move

The 23-year-old is said to be ‘keen on moving to United’ irrespective of their failure to qualify for the Champions League last term.

He joined the Ligue 1 outfit last summer on a £51.1 million deal from Sporting Lisbon but proceeded to feature sporadically under Luis Enrique across the 2023/2024 term, making him open to the prospect of leaving Paris after only one season.

Ugarte made 21 league starts, five in the Champions League and only one in the Coupe de France. It’s thought that he would be pursued as a long-term successor to Casemiro, although United are yet to negotiate the experienced Brazilian’s departure.
