Mason Greenwood has arrived in Marseille ahead of his permanent exit from Manchester United.
The wait is almost over. The Greenwood episode brought an incredibly dark period upon the club. I am happy to say we are finally coming to that final hurdle and he will no longer have an association with the football club.
I’m not saying Greenwood shouldn’t have a career… he should, just away from Old Trafford, the home of a special football club with standards that need re-setting.
It was reported earlier on Wednesday that Greenwood was due to have a medical before completing a permanent switch to Marseille, as per BBC Sport, after enjoying the past season on loan at Getafe.
Fabrizio Romano has now shared widespread footage of Greenwood as he lands in Marseille tonight. We can only presume that Greenwood will carry out medical examinations ahead of his summer move tomorrow.

The 22-year-old was informed again by United last week that there was no way back for him at the club. Then, it was confirmed to the forward that he would be sold this summer.
Several clubs showed interest in Greenwood, but it was Marseille willing to put their money where their mouth is. He now looks to get his career back on track in France next season. He will have every confidence in his capabilities after proving himself in La Liga, scoring eight goals in Spain’s top division.
Marseille are going ahead with the deal despite being criticised by the city major Benoit Payan last week with their intentions to sign Greenwood on a permanent deal became apparent.
