Manchester United complete signing of Norway international Elisabeth Terland

Manchester United have signed Elisabeth Terland on a two-year deal from Brighton.

After agreeing terms with Terland on a two-year contract, United have the option to extend the 23-year-old striker’s deal by a further 12 months.

The Norway international has been a force to be reckoned with at Brighton over the last two seasons, scoring 20 goals in 39 appearances.

Manchester United Women’s team won their first major piece of silverware last season after beating Tottenham in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Terland has represented Norway at U15, U17 and U19 level before making the first team for their Euro 2022 campaign.

Reflecting on her decision to join United, Terland said (via ManUtd.com): “I’m so honoured to sign for Manchester United and cannot wait to join up with the team.

“Having experienced their excellent fans from the opposing side, I’m really looking forward to having them in my corner this season.”

And that they will be!

Terland’s new manager, Skinner, added: “Elisabeth is a young player who will bring a fresh dynamic and energy to our team. We are delighted she has chosen to become part of our Manchester United family and look forward to integrating her into our playing squad.”

United will be aiming to improve their WSL performance after last season, when the Reds finished 5th in the league.
