Former Manchester United loanee Sofyan Amrabat is eager to move to Old Trafford on a permanent deal, after spending last season on loan at the club from Serie A outfit Fiorentina.
That is the latest from the Manchester Evening News reporter Samuel Luckhurst, who claims the midfielder is currently not training with his Fiorentina team-mates amid his plans to leave the club.
Amrabat was absent when Fiorentina took on their youth team in a 5-2 win on Sunday.
We don’t know all of the options Amrabat has on the table, but the report suggests that the Morocco international is pushing for a return to United ahead of next season.
After all, that would be the best-case scenario for Amrabat. Wouldn’t it?

He started 17 games for United but played a key role in our FA Cup final win over Man City, when he made the starting eleven ahead of Casemiro.
Furthermore, Amrabat has known Ten Hag since their time together at FC Utrecht in 2017.
It is also understood that Amrabat is open to joining another Premier League club.
United must decide whether to buy Amrabat but that will be down to Ten Hag, Dan Ashworth, Jason Wilcox and Omar Berrada.

Should sign Amrabat even if Ugarte or Ruiz’s are signed will need cover in that position allowing Mainoo to play further forward.
Man U should hire the services of Ambrat. He may have started slowly to adjust to EPL, but his last involvement in the FA cup win showed signs of holding his head up. I believe more is coming with him
Amrabat showed good character and determination towards the end of last season. Should be given another chance.
Amrabat demonstrated to everybody in the FA cup how good a player he can be and so he should be added to the squad.
