£60k-a-week United ace prices Euro club out of transfer after outlining wage demands they can’t afford

Scott McTominay is among a host of Manchester United players facing uncertain futures at Old Trafford beyond this summer.

This time last year, West Ham United were trying their luck with a £30 million bid to try and prise the Scotsman from his boyhood club, with David Moyes known to be a keen admirer of his talents.

Their offer was rejected by the Red Devils, who, at the time, valued McTominay closer to £45m. Despite Moyes being succeeded by Julen Lopetegui, it’s thought that West Ham’s interest still remains this summer.

McTominay attracting ‘mounting interest’

Now, a report from Manchester Evening News claims United have rebuffed early bids for McTominay. He is viewed as a more integral part of Erik ten Hag’s plans after overseeing a career-best campaign, scoring 10 goals in all competitions and finishing the term as an FA Cup winner, having started the final.

It hasn’t stopped Galatasaray from testing the waters by opening negotiations with the 27-year-old over a prospective move, though, as Turkish outlet Fanatik claims he’s set to price the club out of a deal by demanding €10 million (£8.4m) a year in wages.

Currently, the Carrington graduate takes home a reported £60,000 per week at Old Trafford.
