Lisandro Martinez was crowned a Copa America champion for the second consecutive time overnight as Argentina clinched a 1-0 win to retain their title.

Now back-to-back winners of the illustrious honour, Lionel Scaloni will have certainly expressed his gratitude to the Manchester United stalwart when the dust had settled on their victory.

After a cagey and goalless 90 minutes worth of action led Argentina to extra-time with Colombia, Martinez kept his nation in the game with a crucial, goal-saving block in the 110th minute. Just two minutes later, Lautaro Martinez fired home to give the world champions the lead at the Hard Rock Stadium.
