Erik ten Hag has personally contacted 26-year-old winger to bring him to Man United

Manchester United faced issues in the right-wing position last season with a number of different players failing to impress.

Jadon Sancho was involved in a feud with manager Erik ten Hag and was loaned out to Borussia Dortmund in January, after failing to make an impact at the club.

Antony has struggled to perform since his big money move from Ajax and scored only two goals all season.

Alejandro Garnacho was used in the right-wing position and despite his good performances there last season, a natural right-winger is needed at the club ahead of next season.

According to reports, Manchester United are getting ready to compete against Arsenal for the services of Girona and Ukraine winger Viktor Tsygankov.

Man United manager Erik ten Hag reportedly talked with Girona winger Tsygankov in an attempt to persuade him to move to Old Trafford, according to the Spanish publication AS.

The 26-year-old was a member of the Ukrainian team who did not advance past their group at Euro 2024 and currently on vacation.

Viktor Tsygankov to Man United?

The first Premier League team rumoured to be interested was Arsenal, but according to AS, he has been approached by both Man United and Aston Villa about a summer transfer.

In the Spanish La Liga, the Ukrainian sensation enjoyed an outstanding season with Girona.

In thirty games, he scored eight goals and registered seven assists, helping the Catalan club to a third-place finish in the league.

However, Tsygankov only made one appearance during Ukraine’s opening defeat to Romania at the Euros, playing just 63 minutes.

Man United should sell some players before signing Tsygankov

The La Liga winger would be a sensational signing for the Red Devils but they already have too many options in the right-winger position.

The presence of Garnacho, Sancho, Antony and Amad Diallo would make it difficult for the player to get playing time.

The move would make much more sense if United can offload the likes of Sancho and Antony this summer.
