West Ham keen on Manchester United defender with desire to return to London

West Ham are reportedly keen on signing Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 26-year-old has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford and the Hammers are interested.

Wan-Bissaka has also attracted interest from Turkey, although sources close to Stretty News maintain that the right-back desires a move back to London after originally signing for United from Crystal Palace.

However, the Eagles have yet to show an interest in re-signing Wan-Bissaka, which leaves the door open to West Ham.

According to the Daily Mail, West Ham are tracking Wan-Bissaka this summer.

The Hammers need more quality in the defensive unit and Wan-Bissaka could prove the ideal acquisition for them.

Wan-Bissaka often gets criticised for his end product in the final third, but he could thrive in a team that prioritises defending.

West Ham won’t find many full-backs who are stronger in one-on-one situations. Wan-Bissaka is at the peak of his powers now and Julen Lopetegui will aim to hit the ground running in his first season as manager.

Lopetegui replaced David Moyes as manager this summer, but it is understood that the latter was also interested in signing Wan-Bissaka for West Ham.

Wan-Bissaka’s current deal expires next year. Now is the time to cash in.
