Manchester United youngster Kobbie Mainoo has been one of England’s star performers at the European Championship this summer.
The young midfielder started the tournament on the bench but as soon as he was given an opportunity to play, he impressed with his performance and soon became a starter for the Three Lions.
England started the tournament with Trent Alexander-Arnold in the midfield and then deployed Conor Gallagher.
However, Mainoo has now cemented his place in the starting line up alongside Declan Rice in the midfield.
Against Netherlands in the semifinal, Mainoo played like an experienced player who has been playing the game for a decade.
He helped the Three Lions win the match and qualify for the final, where they will now face Spain on Sunday.
Man United captain Bruno Fernandes has reacted to Mainoo’s post on social media.
Fernandes posted the comment: “My kid” on Mainoo’s Instagram post ahead of the final.
