In-demand forward Dani Olmo has just verified the speculation regarding a €60 million release clause in his RB Leipzig contract.
The sought-after star has quickly become one of the major talking points of this year’s Euros after he catapulted himself into pole position to claim the Golden Boot award.
Olmo was initially included in Luis de la Fuente’s squad as a backup for Barcelona starlet Pedri. However, when his compatriot sustained a tournament-ending injury just eight minutes into Spain’s quarter-final against Germany, Olmo saw himself promoted to a starter.
As such, the 26-year-old has been named from the offset in the last two matches and has played an integral role in his nation booking their spot in Sunday’s final vs England. He scored the winning goal in Wednesday’s semi-final triumph over France, taking his tally up to three goals and two assists in five appearances.

Therefore, it’s no wonder why Olmo is catching the eye of some of Europe’s elite sides. It was reported earlier this week that Manchester United had ‘held talks’ over a potential move, while Barcelona, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City have all been linked in recent weeks.
Should any clubs want to sanction a relatively straightforward transfer this summer, they’re best off doing so before his £50m release clause expires on July 20, giving them just over a week before Leipzig have the option of putting whatever price tag they want on their talisman – which they’ll presumably do given his prolific form on the international stage.
Olmo proclaims availability to his host of admirers
When pressed on the prospect of his buyout fee this week, Olmo told Spanish radio outlet El Larguero: “Yes [it exists]. They [interested clubs] already know what to do.”
“That’s it,” he responded after being asked if it’d be ‘easier’ to sign him before the deadline. “Otherwise, they’ll have to fight a little later. Exactly.”
