Breaking: Jadon Sancho reinstated to United first-team after agreeing to bury the hatchet with Erik ten Hag

In what’ll come as a considerable shock to most Manchester United supporters, the club have today confirmed that Jadon Sancho has been reinstated to the squad.

The 24-year-old has agreed to bury the hatchet with Erik ten Hag after their notorious disagreement last September led to Sancho being completely exiled from all first-team action and facilities.

At the earliest opportunity he had to leave, the player completed a loan move to his former club Borussia Dortmund in January, where he spent the remainder of the 2023/2024 campaign and even reached the Champions League final before sustaining a 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid.

All signs had pointed towards the exit for Sancho this summer. Reports strongly suggested that he’d be sold upon his return to Old Trafford – unless he finally swallowed his pride and apologised to his manager, which he seemingly has done.

Prior to today’s announcement, the club had been linked with several forwards, so it remains to be seen if United will materialise their interest now that Sancho is available for selection throughout the pre-season fixtures and 2024/2025 term.
