‘Here we go’ – Fabrizio Romano confirms Joshua Zirkzee to Manchester United transfer

Manchester United have finally agreed a deal to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna.

The Netherlands striker has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer and the switch has gained momentum following his country’s elimination from Euro 2024.

England beat the Netherlands 2-1 in Dortmund last night. Zirkzee came on as a substitute but it was too late for him to make a difference.

The 23-year-old will be the first signing under the new INEOS ownership.

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the transfer using his ‘here we go’ catchphrase.

United have decided not to trigger Zirkzee’s release clause but have negotiated better payment terms spread out over three years.

Zirkzee is expected to sign a contract until June 2029, with an option to extend for an additional year.

The Dutch striker’s arrival will provide much-needed depth and quality to United’s attack.
