Young winger pens first pro deal at Manchester United after winning treble with U18s

Ethan Williams has signed his first professional contract with Manchester United.

The young winger contributed 17 goals and nine assists in academy fixtures and played a crucial role in the U18s side that won the treble last season.

With a bright future ahead of Williams, it made sense for United to tie him down with his first professional deal, as per the Manchester Evening News.

Williams joins a list of young players to be handed professional deals at United in recent times. The others include Jack Kingdon, Ashton Missin, Tom Myles and Jacob Devaney.

It should encourage young prospects when academy graduates like Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo take their chances by becoming first-team regulars.

Williams will aim to make his first-team debut next season unless he is sent on loan.

At United, we pride ourselves on developing the best young players. It would be great to see Williams join a long list of talented players to make their senior debut for Manchester United.
