INEOS have already proven their willingness to get the wheels in motion on a pivotal transfer window through Manchester United’s interest and talks with potential targets, ie. Jarrad Branthwaite, for whom they had an opening bid rejected.

However, signings can only be accounted for if departures are sanctioned across the summer – ideally as early as possible to increase the transfer budget.

That’s why United chiefs have compiled a list of players who can be moved on this summer. Some they’ll actively look to sell, while others they’ll welcome offers and only consider an exit if the price is right.

As such, one quartet of Reds who are all out of contract in 2025 are expected to leave in the coming months: Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Hannibal Mejbri and Christian Eriksen, with the Dane being the only one not specifically made ‘available for transfer’ – though he is free to leave if the correct suitor comes in, according to Manchester Evening News.

Their exits would see a combined £373,000 a week slashed from the books.

Where the Reds could end up

Reports have already suggested that both Wan-Bissaka (£90,000 p/w) and Lindelof (£120,000 p/w) could be on their way to Turkey, the former to Galatasaray and the latter to Fenerbache, which would see him reunite with former United boss Jose Mourinho.

Similarly, Eriksen (£150,000 p/w) was believed to be in talks with Galatasaray in the previous winter window until a deal failed to materialise as United were unwilling to oversee a mid-season sale.

21-year-old Hannibal (£13,000 p/w) may be slightly more difficult to shift due to his underwhelming loan spell with Sevilla. He made a mere six appearances for the La Liga outfit; only one outing came from the offset, and he totalled just 105 minutes on the pitch in his five months at the club.
