Manchester United are reportedly still tracking Brighton and Hove Albion frontman Evan Ferguson.
The Old Trafford faithful will likely recall the overload of links between United and the forward over the past two years, and it seems as though senior figures are still hoping to strike up a deal; Manchester World claims the Red Devils hold ‘long-term interest’ in Ferguson.
Whether such interest could be acted on this summer remains to be seen, as Ferguson has endured a quieter term than Seagulls fans perhaps initially anticipated. The 19-year-old netted six times in 27 Premier League appearances and failed to get off the mark in the Europa League or the FA Cup. His season then came to an abrupt end at the beginning of April after he sustained an ankle injury.
Still, there’s no doubt that the Ireland international has what it takes to develop into a prolific No.9, and the thought of him linking up with Rasmus Hojlund is a compelling prospect.

Reports have suggested that Sir Jim Ratcliffe is keen to acquire young players to bolster United’s squad for the future, and given that the current setup includes the likes of Kobbie Mainoo (19), Alejandro Garnacho (19) and Hojlund (21) as integral starters, it looks as though the club is in safe hands for the foreseeable period.
