Manchester United supporters shouldn’t be holding out for an update on Erik ten Hag’s future in the coming days.
The Dutchman’s tenure has been the talk of the town in recent months, with reports suggesting that last Saturday’s FA Cup triumph threw a spanner in the works of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s plans to cut short Ten Hag’s time in the Old Trafford dugout.
It comes after a season in which the Red Devils recorded their lowest-ever Premier League finish (eighth) on a goal difference of minus one. As well as that, they exited the Champions League after finishing rock bottom of the group and were knocked out of the Carabao Cup – a trophy they held at the time – in the fourth round.

However, securing silverware for two consecutive seasons following a six-year trophy drought has large portions of the fanbase rallying for Ten Hag to be given at least another term, which would fulfil his three-year contract, to try and work his magic on the club.
The Telegraph reports tonight that United chiefs are ‘taking their time’ in making a decision on Ten Hag. No announcement is expected this week, as they continue their ‘full assessment’ of his two campaigns to date.
