Anthony Martial confirmed on Monday evening that he’d be leaving Manchester United after nine years at the club.

The Frenchman’s contract will expire next month, and despite holding the option of activating a one-year extension, United decided it would be best to part ways this summer.

As such, Martial leaves Old Trafford having made 317 appearances, scoring 90 goals and assisting a further 47.

His most prolific season in red came in the 2019/2020 campaign, in which he found the back of the net 23 times and created 11 goals.

It’s no secret that injuries have been detrimental to the forward’s potential and senior career. Hopefully, he can reach full fitness over the summer and play a key role for his next club, whomever that may be.
