Manchester United will conduct a season review next week before deciding on the next steps for the football club.

Every man and his dog wants to know what the immediate future looks like for Erik ten Hag after the Dutchman led the Reds to FA Cup glory at Wembley on Saturday, beating rivals Man City 2-1 in the blistering sun at Wembley.

According to The Athletic, a season review will take place among officials next week and that will include the performance of Ten Hag as manager.

The build-up to this year’s FA Cup final was dominated by questions over the Dutchman and whether United want him to remain in charge.

United have been linked with an array of managerial candidates including Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna and former Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel.

The mood around the club was dour before winning the FA Cup as United finished eighth in the Premier League.

After the win over City, United veteran Jonny Evans made it clear that he thinks Ten Hag is the right man for the job.

Evans has a point with Ten Hag winning two trophies in as many years as United manager.

That said, we all must wait a little longer to find out what the future holds for the club.
