Video: Manchester United trophy lift as 2024 FA Cup champions

It was an incredible afternoon for Manchester United at Wembley as they beat arch-rivals Man City to win the FA Cup for the first time since 2016.

Manchester United have now won the FA Cup 13 times in their history, with the latest triumph coming against Pep Guardiola’s side thanks to goals from teenage duo Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.

This means United will finish the season on a high, despite coming eighth in the Premier League and failing in Europe. We are also going to be competing in the Europa League next season which means more trips across Europe to look forward to.

After the 2-1 win over City, United’s players were presented with the famous FA Cup trophy. Bruno Fernandes did the honours as captain.

  1. Flipping heck, Garnacho: don’t you read my posts?
What did I tell you about looking for a pass instead of shooti— oh.
Seriously, that was as delightful as it was unexpected, but I have to echo the ‘where has that been all season?’ comments. Yeah, I know we had players back today, but I’m talking about a Team that played like it had been told what to do, had listened, and then carried out those instructions. And that was missing in an awful lot of the Season just past. Should ETH stay, if decision not already made? I’m conflicted, really don’t know. Just remember how I felt after the League Cup was won: good times are back! We know how that turned out.
Och weel, just gonna enjoy today ( Red,Red, wine), look forward to drooling over tomorrow’s papers, when *every* columnist will suddenly be our friend, and watch the goals on repeat. Not expecting to last until Match of The Day🤪

  2. My, My, My, Glad To Eat Crow!! I Was Really Expecting A 4-1 Shellacking At The Very Best, And With A Sigh Of Relief That It Wasn’t Worse, To Boot!! I’ll Take The Win (And Trophy), But I Won’t Expect Much For Next Season, No Matter What!! Not With This Group!!

Ten Hag Still Has To Go!! So Does Rashford, Antoney, Sancho, Van de Beek, Martial (Even Though I Really Like Anthony When He Is Not Injured), And A Few Other Players.

To Bring Back Those Out On Loan Would Set “The Project” (As ETH Calls It) Back Massively!!

Those Here On Loan Must Be Sent Home!! If We Can’t Bring In GOOD Quality Players And Men (Because Of FFP), We Should Stick With Our Own Youth Players!! We Have Some Good Ones At The Academy, Even If They May Not Be Great!!

We May Not Be Able To “Win With Kids” As Was Once Snidely Quipped About Sir Alex And His Fledglings; But I’d Rather Lose With Our Own, If We Are Destined To Lose, Than Lose With High Priced, Highly Paid, Prima Donnas, Who Play As Such, (Whom We Might Bring In So Sponsors Could Sell Shirts)!!

    GLORY, GLORY, MAN UNITED!!
