Erik ten Hag has named his starting 11 for Manchester United’s final home game of the 2023/2024 campaign.

The Red Devils are currently undergoing their final preparations ahead of facing Newcastle United at 8pm, with the three points crucial to either side’s hopes of finishing in the European places.

It’s a line-up that’ll likely please the United faithful, as Bruno Fernandes has returned to captain the side following a two-game absence, while Lisandro Martinez and Marcus Rashford have also recovered from their respective injuries to make the bench.

Amad Diallo’s impressive showing against Arsenal has seen him rewarded with a second successive start, with fellow livewire Alejandro Garnacho retaining his place in attack.

A change in the frontline

Surprisingly, Rasmus Hojlund has been dropped. Judging by the rest of the team, it looks as though Fernandes may be operating in a false-nine role, given that all of Scott McTominay, Kobbie Mainoo and Sofyan Amrabat start in midfield.
