Erik ten Hag has provided an injury update after Amad Diallo was forced off in Manchester United’s 1-0 defeat to Arsenal at Old Trafford.

A first-half strike from Leandro Trossard proved pivotal as Mikel Arteta’s side kept their title hopes alive after picking up three points on their travels up north.

The Gunners climbed back to the top of the table, however, Man City have a game in hand against Tottenham scheduled for Tuesday night. Arsenal will stand a chance going into the final game week one way or another.

Amad was making his first United start since May 2021 and he performed well as a bright spark in the front three. The Ivory Coast international won all of his tackles and completed 100& of his long passes.

Ten Hag had to take Amad off after 70 minutes because the winger was clutching his knee. The fans gave him a fantastic ovation when he was replaced by Antony.

Our no.16 disappeared down the tunnel with United staff.

The manager provided an update during a post-match interview with MUTV’s Liam Bradford.

“Not yet,” Ten Hag said, as per ManUtd.com. “Obviously it’s a knock.

“And of course, it’s also… he didn’t start at all. So it’s his first start. He did well. He was very bright, very confident.

“I thought also there was a reason that, in the end, he was out of fitness and came off. We have to see tomorrow what it is.”

Fingers crossed the knock doesn’t rule Amad out of our next two matches. I’d like to see him get more minutes under his belt.
