Manchester United treble documentary premiere at The Printworks

For this article, Stretty News shares information from someone who attended the world premiere of Prime’s ‘99’. This account was written anonymously to protect their identity.

I was invited to the VIP world premiere of ‘99’.

Many of the ex-players and club stuff (plus ex-staff) were in attendance.

First of all, I will not spoil anyone’s enjoyment of this wonderful trilogy by going into too much detail!

For part one we were only shown bits of the first half of the 1998/99 season.

In part two, again, were were only shown bits of the second half of the season (the 32 game unbeaten run to the end).

Part three was a bigger viewing… the final in Barcelona! This included clips, interviews with the players, staff and Sir Alex Ferguson.

Flashbacks and much more. It included the build-up to the open-top bus parade the following day (all those in attendance knew the ending).

We were then gifted to an interview with five of the stars from 99 (Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, Peter Schmeichel, Teddy Sheringham and David Beckham). They all had their own stories to tell.

It was an absolutely wonderful evening had by all in attendance.

The three-part documentary starts on May 17th – and it’s definitely worth watching!
