Cesc Fabregas predicts Arsenal ‘will win comfortably’ at Old Trafford

Former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas spoke to the Planet Premier League podcast about Manchester United’s game with Arsenal on Sunday.

Everyone knows Arsenal don’t have a great record when it comes to league matches at Old Trafford. That said, every man and his dog knows Manchester United are in a weak state going into the game.

We’ve just suffered a 4-0 defeat against Crystal Palace and we’re about to watch Man City in a fourth consecutive league title – all while the Premier League pretends to ignore the 115 charges hanging over the Etihad Stadium.

Fabregas has cast his prediction for the game and it doesn’t read well for United supporters. Arsenal go into the game as favourites and still dream of becoming Premier League champions.

“They have always been special games,” Fabregas said, as per BBC Sport. “It’s true that Manchester United aren’t at the level they were in the past, and I see Arsenal too strong for them at the moment.

“Arsenal play by memory. They are confident and believe they have the experience. They’ve grown over the last year and improved.

“I do think Arsenal will win that game comfortably. I will not say ‘easily’ because United are United and the history [they have]. At the end of the day, we need to respect the badge on the chest and Old Trafford is Old Trafford.

“But again I consider Arsenal too strong at the moment.”

We would rather see Arsenal win the league than City, but that is looking very unlikely as the games run out.
