Jadon Sancho and his Borussia Dortmund teammates celebrated as they secured their place in the Champions League final with an Adele rendition after they beat Paris Saint-Germain 1-0.
The England winger, on loan from Manchester United, played a key role as his side reached the final after winning the semi-final first and second leg.
Sancho was seen dancing and singing on a table after the match.
Last night’s 1-0 win meant BVB won 2-0 on aggregate.
In terms of performance, Sancho put in a more reserved display than last week in the first leg. He regularly tracked back and did his work defensively to help Edin Terzic’s side book their place in the final.
Sancho didn’t hold back when letting off steam after, with footage from inside the away dressing room in Paris showing the winger as the life and soul of the squad’s party.
In a video shared to Instagram by BVB’s official account, Sancho can be seen carrying a large speaker as the rest of the squad watched on, singing Adele’s Someone Like You. The video then cuts to Sancho stepping up on the table in the middle of the room, speaking in hand, his phone in the other. Sancho embraces his team-mates as he walks around with the song playing in the background.
The Champions League final could be Sancho’s last game for Dortmund in what has been somewhat of a positive loan spell from United, which began in January.
It remains to be seen if BVB will put their money where their mouth is by signing Sancho on a permanent deal this summer.
After a public falling out with Erik ten Hag at United, it remains to be seen if Sancho will ever play for United again. It certainly feels like his days are numbered.
