Respected journalist David Ornstein joins Ahmed Fareed to give an update on the latest news surrounding Erik ten Hag’s future at Manchester United ahead of what will be a season of change at Old Trafford.

Champions League qualification is almost lost and our only chance of finishing in the season on a high appears to be the FA Cup, ahead of next weekend’s semi-final against Coventry City.

The pressure is mounting on Erik ten Hag as United’s results and performances continue to frustrate the fans.

Speaking to NBC Sports, Ornstein claims Ten Hag’s job hangs in the balance at Old Trafford and that no decision has been made on the manager’s future. The market for replacements is understood to be slim which might help his cause at the end of the season.

Ornstein adds there is still on agreement on Dan Ashworth despite talks between Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Amanda Stavely, however, Jason Wilcox should arrive sooner.

There was also an update on United’s priorities in the transfer market this summer. The Reds will look to sign a centre-back, left-back, midfielder and striker.

A report from GIVEMESPORT also claims that Ten Hag’s willingness to integrate youth academy players into the first team, and doing so successfully, is a strong point working in his favour.
