Finally, after days of delays, the fixture details for Manchester United’s FA Cup semi-final with Coventry City have been announced.
The semi-final tie will be held at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 21 April, kicking off at 15:30 BST, as confirmed by Manchester United on Friday afternoon.
The FA had to consult the clubs, the local authority, members of the Safety Advisory Group and broadcasters.
However, the reason the game is being played at 3.30 pm on Sunday is because it has been deemed ‘high risk’ by the Metropolitan Police.
To reach the semi-finals, United eliminated Liverpool in the previous round with a chaotic 4-3 win at Old Trafford. Coventry City knocked out Wolves in what was the shock of the round and they will be looking to cause another upset at Wembley on April 21.
The final is scheduled for Saturday 25 May.
