Scott McTominay felt today’s result as both a Manchester United player and a lifelong supporter of the club.
As such, his celebrations following each United goal and immediately after the full-time whistle were that of every fan when the Reds sealed their spot in the FA Cup semi-finals through an emphatic 4-3 win over Liverpool.
It took 120 minutes to finally separate the sides, with Amad Diallo’s remarkable finish in the dying minutes preventing the tie from going to penalties.
McTominay also came in clutch yet again by opening the scoring in the first 10 minutes as well as slotting through Marcus Rashford for his equaliser in the 112th minute.
When the full-time whistle finally blew and Old Trafford erupted, the Scot leapt into Andre Onana’s arms to celebrate before appearing to mouth ‘F**k you’ towards the away end of over 9,000 Liverpool fans.
