Manchester United’s FA Cup semi-final fate has been confirmed after tonight’s emphatic clash at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils will face Coventry City in the next stage, which will take place at Wembley on either April 20 or 21.
Should they progress, United will take on Premier League opposition in the final in the form of either Manchester City or Chelsea, the latter of which booked their spot in the semis after defeating Leicester City earlier today.
Erik ten Hag and his men oversaw a history-making seven-goal thriller after extra-time. Goals in the first 90 minutes came courtesy of Scott McTominay, Alexis Mac Allister, Mohamed Salah and Antony, followed by Harvey Elliott and Marcus Rashford when play resumed.
In the dying stages of extra-time, substitute Amad Diallo netted his first United goal in three years after a devastating counter-attack to lift the roof off of Old Trafford and send the United faithful into hysterics.
Having already been booked prior to the winner, he was subsequently shown a red card for taking off his shirt amidst the celebrations, though he won’t let that dampen his spirits.
What a feeling, what a night.
