Manchester United are satisfied with the progress of goalkeeper Radek Vitek on loan at Accrington Stanley, but the youngster is unsure what the future holds for him at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag may rate Vitek as a young goalkeeper, but he is unable to give him assurances over first-team opportunities. It was decided that a loan spell at Accrington Stanley would at least help the the young keeper experience senior football on a regular basis.
Vitek was not ready to play a part at United when the season started, however, we must wait for Ten Hag to make another decision on the matter after he returns from Accrington Stanley.
The 20-year-old has been reflecting on his time away from United.
Vitek told Sport: “The start was great. (Man United) follow me all the time. The vast majority of our games are attended by scouts or someone else from the club. I also communicate with United’s goalkeeper coaches, we discuss my performances.
“I have positive feedback (from United).”
The Czech Republic U20s international will keep United happy so long as he’s playing regularly on Accrington Stanley for the remainder of the season. It’s likely that he will return before being sent to a league of higher standard than League Two.
