Out-of-favour United man growing ‘very tired and frustrated’ with lack of game time – could move this summer

Altay Bayindir is reportedly dissatisfied with his situation at Manchester United and could leave the club as early as this summer – just one year on from his arrival.

The Turkish international was acquired on deadline day last September to provide coverage to Andre Onana, who had just completed a £47 million move from Inter Milan after being sought by Erik ten Hag to replace David de Gea.

Onana, being the number one, has understandably featured in all Premier League and Champions League matches – even amidst his fluctuating form and numerous costly mistakes.

However, Ten Hag has still opted to deploy his former Ajax star when he’s been available in both cup competitions; the only time Onana has been replaced between the sticks is when he was representing Cameroon at the Africa Cup of Nations and Bayindir filled the void against Newport County in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Bayindir could depart Old Trafford after one season

At just 25 years old and clearly confident in his abilities, Bayindir is believed to be seeking increased game time – whether that be at Old Trafford or elsewhere.

GS Gazete claims that the shot-stopper is growing ‘very tired and frustrated’ with his lack of opportunities and is mulling over a return to Turkey at the end of the season. Having formerly played for Fenerbache, he is now being linked with their rivals Galatasaray.
