Andy Mitten player ratings: Luton Town 1-2 Manchester United

United We Stand editor Andy Mitten gives his player ratings following Manchester United’s 2-1 win against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.

Rasmus Hojlund made it seven goals in his last six matches to fire Erik ten Hag’s side to a narrow victory against a determined Luton Town side.

Although the 21-year-old failed to score in his first 14 Premier League outings for the club, he has not struggled in recent weeks to find the back of the net against top-flight opposition – managing to score in his previous six league matches.

Hojlund was one of United’s strongest performers at Kenilworth Road and deserves all the plaudits he gets as a result. It was just a shame that United didn’t take advantage of all of the chances they created. Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes all missed sitters.

Luke Shaw was substituted in the first-half due to an injury, while Erik ten Hag decided to haul off Casemiro and Harry Maguire at the break after picking up yellow cards.
