Manchester United scouts to attend European clash and monitor 25-y/o winger with 20G/A this season

Manchester United scouts will be in attendance at Galatasaray’s Europa League clash in Thursday evening to keep tabs on in-form winger Kerem Akturkoglu.

The Old Trafford faithful may remember him for unwanted reasons as earlier this season, he provided two Champions League daggers home and away, one of which was awarded the Goal of the Group Stage.

In terms of how the forward fits into United’s transfer plans, depth on the left wing may be sought in the summer now that Alejandro Garnacho has proven that he can flourish on the right flank. It leaves responsibility almost solely on Marcus Rashford, who has struggled to replicate the same prolific form he displayed last term.

Akturkoglu, 25, has notched an impressive 12 goals and six assists in all competitions this season and will be keen to add to his tally when Galatasaray return to European action tonight at Rams Park.

The Turkish international is expected to start in the 5.45pm clash, with Aksam claiming that United chiefs will be in the stands.

“Observers from many teams will come to the stadium of Galatasaray, which will face Sparta Prague at home in the UEFA Europa League. Kerem Akturkoglu’s name was mentioned with English teams, especially Manchester United,” their report states.
