Takefusa Kudo has signed a new contract at Real Sociedad despite being linked with a move to Manchester United.

Speculation emerged in December suggesting that United had been sending scouts to keep an eye on Kubo in action for La Real ahead of a potential transfer.

With Antony struggling to adapt to the Premier League, Kudo is allegedly seen as a solution though that was before Alejandro Garnacho became a mainstay on the right flank.

It was hinted that the Japanese wide man was available for a potential £43 million move, but that was before he signed his new deal at Real Sociedad.

The La Liga club have today confirmed that Kubo has signed a new contract with the club until the summer of 2029, however, it is unclear how much his release clause is worth and they are mandatory in Spanish football.

Kubo has scored six goals and registered three assists in 19 games this season. He sounds like one to watch at the very least.
