Championship duo Birmingham City and Watford are lining up offers to take Manchester United winger Amad Diallo on loan next season.
That is according to The Sun and it suggests that the Ivory Coast international could be sent back out on loan next season.
Amad was linked with a return to Sunderland in last month’s transfer window, although a deal never materialised and United opted to retain him for the remainder of the season.
It goes without saying that Sunderland would take Amad back if he was available, after he scored 14 goals during his season-long loan at the Stadium of Light.
A lack of opportunities at United has meant that Amad is being linked with a return to the second tier of English football. Birmingham’s interest comes as no surprise since they are being managed by Tony Mowbray, who was at Sunderland last season. Watford are the other club to keep an eye on.
