Jadon Sancho handed lifeline to make Man United return after Erik ten Hag claim

According to reports, Manchester United are prepared to let Jadon Sancho rejoin the club and have a future at Old Trafford if Erik ten Hag is sacked in the summer.

Sancho is content with his stay at Borussia Dortmund. The 23-year-old has spent two stints with the team at this point. He opted to join the Red Devils, which hasn’t worked out well for him, ending his first stay.

The English winger missed more than four months of football after being cut from the first team squad due to a public falling out with coach Erik ten Hag. It looks like the relationship between the player and the manager is beyond repair now.

After a public rift with Ten Hag in September, Sancho hasn’t played for United since. The Dutchman was questioned about the English forward’s exclusion from the squad at his post-match news conference after the team’s loss to Arsenal.

When Ten Hag said he was not impressed with the player’s training efforts, Sancho responded by calling the statement “untrue” and labeling himself as a “scapegoat.”

If Erik ten Hag is fired at the end of the season, the 23-year-old may play again for United, according to Football Insider.

There is very little chance that the team will accept Jadon Sancho back if the Dutchman stays beyond the summer. Despite being a star in Germany, the English winger’s dismal performances at United means the team cannot give in to his demands.

The second half of the season is finally seeing some life from Erik ten Hag’s team. They are performing well and getting results in their favour.

The form of Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund and Kobbie Mainoo has sparked a new life into the team. It won’t be wrong to say that Sancho is not being missed at Old Trafford.

  1. Once again personal bias against Sancho prompts the comments by the media, blind to the undermining of a player by Ten Hag to cover his own poor buy of Antony, giving Sancho bit parts in odd games and then complaining about his effort. It’s easy to kick a player when he’s down! Shame on you!

    1. Let’s not pretend that Sancho has been a model player at Utd. His stats compared to his time in Germany are shocking, even when he was getting a solid run of games the stats never really got better.

Then there’s his off field antics, which were well known in Germany too. Staying up late on nights before training or matches, gaming etc. Not very professional for an elite athlete. And his public response to ETH… whatever the reasons for criticism from ETH, valid or not, it’s not Sancho’s place to respond like that…respond in training, respond on the pitch.

I respect your opinion, but I don’t agree with it.

  2. Were ETH to be sacked, would we see the Sancho we thought we were buying? Highly unlikely, especially as he admits no wrong-doing on his part so attitude wouldn’t change. Just not got the right skill-set for the Prem.

    1. If any player in any team disrespects their manager publicly they should sold and ejected from that team!

  3. Unprofessional and acted like a spoilt brat.
Obviously unable to accept criticism in an adult manner. Perfect example of a young person receiving too much money attention and unable to cope.

  4. United constantly paying too much in transfers and wages? It’s hard to really put your heart and soul into it when you’re over paid

  5. Jason Sancho was above average in performance. EtH must bow down his head in shame and accept him back into the Reds fold. Again, he must accept that Anthony was a mistake and offload him.

  6. I don’t see any good thing in sending E T H and returning shancho to the team unless politics is brought to football.
