‘The signs are there’: Pundit predicts United starlet will become a ‘totally different player’ next season

After a slow start to Premier League life for Rasmus Hojlund, the young Dane now can’t stop scoring.

Hojlund was made to wait 14 games before opening his account in England’s top division, which drew criticism given the £72 million price tag that Manchester United agreed for him last summer.

However, the 21-year-old is now on a run of four goals in four consecutive matches – making him the youngest-ever Red to do so – and has also notched two assists to aid his teammates in their own personal tallies.

He’s cemented his role as United’s No.9 and it’s a position he could well hold for the next decade if his development continues on the upward trajectory it’s on.

Former Red’s high hopes for Hojlund

Reacting to the starlet’s performance during yesterday’s win over West Ham United on MUTV, former defender Phil Bardsley shared his high expectations for Hojlund.

“You never really judge a player on his first season but the signs are there. Next season, you’ll see a totally different player. Let’s hope he keeps on scoring goals.”

He went on to highlight the prolific relationship between frontline trio Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford, adding: “There’s a good blend, a good balance. If they keep on learning each other’s games, they will improve. I’m excited about this front three.”
