Manchester United aim to continue their winning run when they host West Ham in the Premier League today.
Erik ten Hag’s side head into the match after a dramatic 4-3 win over Wolves on Thursday night. Now, just three days later, the Reds know a better performance is required to secure three points for the second time in the space of a week.
The Reds will also be out for revenge after losing the reverse fixture 2-0 at the London Stadium back in December.
A positive stat to take into the game with us is that United are undefeated in 20 of their last 21 home matches against West Ham across all competitions. We hope to build on that today when David Moyes takes his players up north.
Ahead of the league meeting at Old Trafford, former Hammers boss Harry Redknapp gave his verdict in an interview with BetVictor, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
“Big game for both sides here,” Redknapp said. “United have obviously been so up and down this season and I don’t know what to expect from them here. I know they’ve got a bit of uncertainty going on behind the scenes, but I’m surprised they were so quiet during the transfer window.
“Likewise with West Ham. I thought another forward would have been right at the top of David Moyes wish list but it didn’t happen. That being said, Kalvin Phillips could be a very good addition to this squad. The Hammers beat them at home and will like their chances at Old Trafford. I’m leading towards a 1-1 draw.”
