Marcus Rashford is in the headlines for the wrong reasons.

The underperforming star has been heavily criticised following a night out in Belfast which led to him missing training last week.

A report in The Sun claims Rashford collapsed fully clothed into bed at 3AM on Friday, hours before phoning in sick to United.

Rashford, 26, was pictured in a nightclub on Thursday evening. It was later decided that he would not be in the squad for Sunday’s 4-2 win over Newport County in the FA Cup.

A report from talkSPORT now claims there are concerns from coaches at United that Rashford is being negatively impacted on the pitch by his lifestyle. It goes without saying that he has not reached the standards he showed last season when he scored 30 goals in all competitions. This season he has four goals in 26 matches.

Moreover, it is stated that those close to Rashford are worried he is in ‘complete self destruct mode’, which is a concern for his development as a footballer.

Rashford was pictured arriving at Carrington on Monday with his agent and brother Dwayne Maynard.

The club say the situation has been dealt with and we can only hope Rashford can kick on and reach his best form for the remainder of the season.
