Former Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic looks to be on the move again.
The 35-year-old joined Rennes from Roma in the summer but did not endure the happiest spell of his career at the French club. It now seems that he is about to cut ties.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Matic will be joining Lyon on a deal until June 2026. He has suggested that Lyon and Rennes have agreed on terms for the Serbian.

Matic had issues with his children’s schooling during his short stint at Rennes and that is thought to be one of the main reasons for his premature departure.
He played 13 Ligue 1 matches for Rennes and will hope to bring his wealth of experience to Lyon after a disastrous start to the campaign leaving them 16th in the table.
