The agent of Manchester United winger Antony has disclosed that he is not aware of any intentions to sell his client in the summer.

The Evening Standard reported earlier this week that Erik ten Hag was unfurling a plan to move both Antony and Jadon Sancho at the end of the season.

According to the report, United intended to offload the wingers to Saudi Pro League teams.

Both players reportedly had a £50 million price tag on them as United looked to recoup some of the money they had spent lavishly on the attackers. Even if Sancho’s time at United is almost coming to an end, the news about Antony caught everyone off guard.

Although Antony hasn’t scored or assisted this season, he is still considered one of ten Hag’s favourite players. The Brazilian was signed for an extravagant £85 million from ten Hag’s former club Ajax.

United in Focus spoke to Antony’s agent Junior Pedroso about the future of the winger.

“Manchester has so far not communicated any interest in transferring him in either the January or summer window,” he said.

The agent claimed that Antony is fully determined to improve his form for the club and help the team.

“Antony is focused on these four months of the season so he can improve his performance, knowing that he needs to score goals and assists,” Pedroso added.

“This is his focus. Today our head is on Manchester United.

“He knows very well that he needs to score, there’s no point in just playing good games, he has to score goals and provide assists. He is very coherent about this.

“He will come back different, his head has become a little key and certainly in these four months he will show much more than he showed this season.”
