Former Man United manager Jose Mourinho has opened up on his return to football

After being fired by Serie A team Roma, former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has spoken out and ruled out managing one team.

Last week, Mourinho was sacked by Roma after the team dropped to ninth in Serie A and lost to Lazio, Roma’s local rivals, in the Coppa Italia.

Daniele De Rossi, a Roma legend, succeeded Mourinho as manager of the Italian team till the end of the current season.

Shortly after being fired by Roma, Mourinho was linked with an incredible comeback to management, drawing attention from Saudi Arabia.

Al Shabab, a Saudi Pro League team, reportedly expressed interest in signing Mourinho and was prepared to make a sizable payment to get him to the Saudi Pro League.

Transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano reposted the information that Mourinho would not be joining Al Shabab, as reported by journalist Pedro Morata.

“Jose Mourinho has confirmed that he’s ‘not gonna become Al Shabab new head coach,’ [he] told [Pedro Morata],” Romano tweeted.

“Despite reports this week, it was never deal close or advanced between Jose Mourinho and the Saudi side.”

On the social media website X, which was formerly known as Twitter, Romano said that Mourinho and Al Shabab had “no intention to proceed in talks.”

“Jose Mourinho will not sign for Al Shabab, no intention to proceed in talks — confirmed,” he wrote.

“Mourinho will not rush his decision on [the] next club/project as he wants to pick the best one for his career.”

In the midst of uncertainty surrounding club legend Xavi’s future at Camp Nou, the former head coach of Roma has even been linked to La Liga team Barcelona.

When reporters questioned Mourinho about the Barcelona rumors at the airport, he seemed to downplay them and grinned.

Although it’s still unknown what the former manager of Real Madrid and Inter Milan will do, Mourinho hasn’t made any indication that he may be ending his illustrious career any time soon.
