Manchester United academy defender Maxi Oyedele has secured a loan move to League Two side Forest Green Rovers until the end of the season.
The young Manchester United defender had a youth loan spell at Altrincham last term but will will give him his first taste of action in the Football League, with the move confirmed by Manchester United this evening.
Oyedele, 19, is renowned as a defender but he is versatile enough to play in midfield too, as seen in multiple Premier League 2 outings.
After being involved in the pre-season campaign for the Reds, Oyedele has pushed on this term and can now look forward to experiencing first team football. United will hope he can get regular game time during his spell in League Two.
Oyedele is the sixth player to leave Old Trafford on loan this month, after Alvaro Fernandez (Benfica), Hannibal Mejbri (Sevilla), Joe Hugill (Burton Albion), Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund) and Donny van de Beek (Eintracht Frankfurt).
Forest Green Rovers carried out business with United last January when they signed Charlie Savage on loan. Furthermore, former Red Charlie McCann is part of the first team squad.
We are wishing Oyedele the best of luck at Forest Green.
