Six Premier League pundits have voted on their mid-season award winners and predictions for the remainder of the campaign.

While Manchester United took the glory in the Goal of the Season category, with Alejandro Garnacho’s scintillating bicycle kick at Goodison Park making them unanimous in their decision, they weren’t granted much faith when it came to the top-four race.

Michael Owen, Karen Carney, Matt Holland, Leon Osman, Darren Bent and Don Hutchison have all tipped the likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur to be battling it out for the Champions League spots come May.

Each of them believe that City will claim their fourth title in a row, despite currently sitting five points away from the top spot – albeit with a game-in-hand.

A dismal start at Old Trafford

United’s form across the first half of the term has left a lot to be desired, especially when considering that the club spent a staggering £183.5 million in the summer transfer window to bolster Erik ten Hag’s squad.

Already in the league, they’ve sustained nine losses out of the 20 matches played, which has left the Reds in eighth place and with a goal difference of minus-five; the only team in the top 10 of the division to hold a negative GD.
