Sir Dave Brailsford has given the biggest hint yet that Erik ten Hag could be sacked

According to various reports, Sir Dave Brailsford has hinted at a possible exit for Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag.

The Athletic has reported that the INEOS chief believes that the club should have a proper identity and then hire a sporting director and manager who can work together as a team.

After spending about £500 million over the last four transfer windows, ten Hag has been given the authority to make signings and bring players of his choice to the club.

His recent signings have failed including big money acquisitions like Rasmus Hojlund, Antony, Andre Onana and Mason Mount.

Additionally, rumors have it that Ten Hag would not be totally in favor of giving a sporting director the authority regarding recruiting players at the club.

According to a report from ESPN, as Sir Jim Ratcliffe is ready to choose a new sporting director at Old Trafford, the Dutchman will insist on having the last word on transfers.

ten Hag’s failure to work with the new sporting director will cost him his job and the new Manchester United hierarchy will bring in someone who can work exactly like they want to and follow their model.

It is anticipated that Jean-Claude Blanc, who oversees INEOS’ sports business, would become CEO. In addition, Brailsford will have a part in player recruitment, and Paul Mitchell and Dan Ashworth are under consideration.

The complete skeleton of the club is being changed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Red Devils will be operating in a different way than what they have been doing in the last decade.

  1. Absolutely right. Living in Belgium, we follow the Dutch League as well, and it was impressibe how Eth brought youngsters in over the years. I was hopefull that, with the MUFC Academy youngsters would get through the ranks. Sorry to say but Eth choose for the so called HAD BEENS and overpriced and overvalued players, who are unworthy to wear that fine jesey. Although so many youngsters are running around, who will surely do a better job then those nowadays ‘teamers’. Strip the place and start rebuilding United.

  2. The earlier Eric Ten Hag is sacked the better. He hasn’t gotten it right in the transfer market since he came to Manchester United. 70% of the players he bought are nothing to write home about. We need a coach who will bring back the good old days.

    1. They’ve failed have they? Onana has been one of the top ranked keepers in the premiership, Hoylund has scored 6 in an injury hampered season so far and Mount has been injured for much of the season. Do you even know what you are talking about that you can deem high level players failures after 4 months in a new team with new players and different systems? Embarrassing nonsense.

  3. This is a pretty moronic piece of writing.
Name one successful club that doesn’t give the Manager control of signings?
ETH hasn’t had the players that he wanted, more likely the players that the Club could get…
Nothing about what Brailsford said suggests ETH would be sacked… you’re talking out your blowhole mate…

  4. If ETH want to save his job at Manchester United then he must try and change the formation and style of play cause everytime he play consistently the same formation since he started as MUFC MANAGER and just try to play Mason Mount on the rightwing and Bruno behind him and Maino with him then we will have a stronger midfield cause Mount aswell as Bruno and Maino can put the ball in the box for the strikers p.s just a thought🤷‍♂️

  6. He cannot be trusted to spend money wisely, also I am concerned that his agent is getting involved in new signings for the club.

  7. Jaw jaw jabba jabba white noise
When anything happens it’ll be reported, not hinted at

  8. ETH has no clue to turn things around at the Club. He is not in control of the players. I can’t believe players like Anthony who can not even make an assist in the box and yet the coach is just looking. Watinnyasa

  9. Hi my name is Issy from South africa. I’ve been a die hard supporter for the last 49 years. This is my first chat on this group. I say give ETH a chance with the new owners n changes they wanna make. He did well in his first year . His not the only coach to make bad buys. His buys that he made was not that bad. The players let him down. The came there with big reputations n failed. It’s not easy to come to us n just fit in. We are a world class team an the pressure to perform on the highest level is great. So I hope that the new owner will support him in bringing us back to where we should be. The best in England. I still have high hopes for a top four finish. Glory glory.

  10.
