Manchester United learn FA Cup fourth-round fate should they progress past Wigan Athletic

Manchester United have learnt their fate for the fourth round of the FA Cup should they reign victorious against Wigan Athletic this evening.

The Red Devils take on League One opponents at the DW Stadium tonight in hopes of kickstarting a spirited cup run away from their home comforts – though not too far away.

If United progress, they’ll take a trip even further down the English football pyramid when facing either Newport County (League Two) or Eastleigh (National League). Their stadiums hold 7,850 and 5,192 respectively, and it would form a first meeting between the Reds and whomever they come up against when the tie is set in stone.

When the fourth-round fixtures take place

The next round of the competition will be played out over the final weekend of January – but Erik ten Hag’s men have to do their bit to get there first. Kick-off is underway and the manager has deployed a strong starting 11 in hopes of overseeing a convincing win.
