Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund agree Jadon Sancho loan deal in principle

Manchester United have agreed a deal in principle to send Jadon Sancho on loan to former club Borussia Dortmund.

That is according to ESPN, although there are still some minor details to iron out before Sancho is allowed to join up with the Bundesliga side, who are currently enjoying a winter training camp in Marbella.

Reports this week state that Sancho is keen to return to Dortmund. He left the German outfit two-and-a-half years ago after his £73m move to Old Trafford.

The winger has failed since then to nail down a place in the United line-up. Furthermore, a public spat with Ten Hag led to him being banished from the first team over three months ago and it doesn’t look like there’s a way back for him.

Rob Dawson from ESPN writes: “United have accepted the framework of a six-month loan proposed by Dortmund which will include a small fee and a contribution to the 23-year-old’s wages However, the agreement has not been officially signed off and until it is, Sancho will not be allowed to travel to Dortmund’s winter training camp in Spain.”

Sancho is expected to get the green light to re-join Dortmund over the weekend.

Dortmund, who are currently on a winter break until January 13, will then return to action against Darmstadt.

The English winger will be looking forward to playing regular football again if he can get back into the Dortmund line-up.
